The President of Senegal, Macky Sall, has announced the reopening of mosques and churches. Sally made the announcement while easing restrictions imposed on the country to tackle the spread of COVID-19, Reuters reports. The Senegalese president had placed restriction on religious gathering in March, following the outbreak of COVID-19. Senegal has recorded 1,886 coronavirus cases in total, including 19 deaths.
